sights and destinations.
i have decided upon everything i want to see while living in the uk. i'm sure there is a lot more to see, but as i only have three months here, i had to narrow it down. i am focusing primarily on the uk. once i move to paris, i'll travel around the continent. i'll mark them off the list as i come to them. hopefully, i'll be able to see them all.

If you are a fan of the new pride and prejudice, you should go to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire in the North of England - It is absolutely gorgeous and represented Pemberley in the movie. The gardens are amazing!
My husband & I moved to Edinburgh about 3+ weeks ago. I really enjoyed reading your posts, because they list everything we are going through too! We of course are blogging our advenutre as well, so in addition to my knitting blog (www.kristenmakes.wordpress.com) we also have our scotland blog (www.dailyscotch.wordpress.com). It is so much fun to write and post pictures of everything that you do, and you'll find it makes missing everyone a lot easier, because it helps everyone keep in touch. What are you going to school for? If you're ever in Edinburgh, give a shout! Best of luck to you!
Good list. The giants causeway is spectacular but is in Ireland! Although as you seem to like green countryside you'd love Ireland plus the beer (guiness) is great and the people very friendly. York minster is a great inclusion and York itself is a lovely place with cobbled streets and some fab shopping. It's an easy 2 hour train trip from kings cross. By the way the train is way cheaper if you book in advance (as long as possible) on-line.
Stonehenge is a must see, just amazing. Loch Ness could be left off the list in my humble opinion and be replaced with the lake district which is so pretty (home of beatrix potter have you seen the movie Miss Potter?) Shakespeares home town is Stratford - another pretty place set on a river, you should try and see a play at the theatre whilst you are there. There is also a recreation of the Globe theatre in London which you should visit as well.
You are going to have a ball!
Yes, I second the Globe Theatre recreation! It's a must see.
I loved my trip to Bath. The Roman Baths are spectacular and well worth the trip.
the Lake district is amazing, a definate must :D
thanks for the suggestions!!
bethibrahim, i have heard of the chatsworth house, i think i'll try to check it out!
kristenmakes, i definitely will go to edinburgh!! i would love to meet up! i'm studying history and art history.
jamsandwich, oops! i thought it was in england. i would really love to go to ireland, i've heard such great things :) and i am a HUGE nerd, so the idea of seeing where a legendary prehistoric dinosaur supposedly lives is too good to pass up :)
batty, yeah i'm hoping to go before the season ends (so soon!!) if not, i'll come back before i leave for the states. oh, i was hoping to go to bath.
does anyone know if the trains go to all of these places?
